At The Señora Zamora Foundation, our mission is to fund, support and lobby for improved access to quality Spanish language learning opportunities for all Canadian children.
We believe that a multilingual education is the key to success, and we strive to support parents, educators and students to achieve their full potential.
Our approach to supporting Spanish language education is founded on the principals of our namesake, the late Mexican-Canadian linguist and educator Sra. Angelica Zamora Rios, known affectionately to so many as simply Señora. Our board, trustees and advisors work closely with the wider academic community to help identify areas of support and funding that align with Angelica's vision of a multilingual, multicultural world.
Our Board and Advisory team are made up of passionate educators, parents and former students of Sra. Zamora who are dedicated to helping bring better quality Spanish language learning opportunities to Canadian children. Each of them bring a unique experience and perspective in support of the Foundation's goals and the values that Angelica brough to classrooms in Asia and North America for more than a decade.
